Digital creator, Olga Vasyagina – “the blonde traveller”- spent some time with us at Victoria Falls River Lodge in November.

How did you enjoy celebrating your birthday at Victoria Falls River Lodge?
Celebrating my birthday at the lodge was extraordinary. Though my actual birthday was a day earlier, on November 6, I consider the entire trip to Victoria Falls a part of the special event. The serene and magical atmosphere of the lodge made the entire time feel uniquely celebratory.
Did you enjoy your stay in the Luxury Tented Suites?
The Luxury Tented Suite was a highlight of my stay. The river view was breathtaking, and I particularly enjoyed my little pool on the deck, which offered a serene spot for wildlife watching and relaxation. Waking up to the tranquil and beautiful views of the river was a dream come true. The tented suite itself was a haven of comfort, with a cozy bed, top-notch amenities, and unique features like a bathtub overlooking the river and an outdoor shower, adding a distinctive touch to the experience.
What was your favourite activity?
I enjoyed the sunrise river cruise and the sunset game drive. Both were remarkable experiences, but if I had to choose one, the game drive would be it. The opportunity to see a wide array of animals in their natural habitat was awe-inspiring. Our guide, Jamie, was exceptional – knowledgeable, professional, and truly added depth to our game viewing experience.
Was this your first visit to Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls?
This was my first visit to Zimbabwe and Victoria Falls, but it certainly won’t be my last. The Lodge provided a unique and unforgettable introduction to this beautiful part of the world.
Would you recommend the Lodge to other guests?
I would wholeheartedly recommend Victoria Falls River Lodge to other guests. It offers authentic and comfortable accommodation, exquisite dining experiences, a staff that goes above and beyond in helpfulness, and a unique riverside location. This setting not only offers stunning views but also allows for a variety of enriching activities. In essence, it had everything I could wish for and more.

compare to other holiday destinations?
Victoria Falls River Lodge stands out in my extensive travel experiences. It’s incredible location, nestled in seclusion and surrounded by wildlife, along with the comfortable and well-appointed tented suites, a range of activities, and attentive staff, create a uniquely satisfying experience. Africa’s special touch makes it even more memorable.
What is your impression of Africa as a tourist destination?
My impression of Africa as a tourist destination has been elevated by this visit. Africa offers a unique vibe, culture, incredible wildlife and atmosphere like nowhere else – it feels like stepping into the adventurous tales you read as a child, filled with natural beauty and a spirit of exploration.
Did you enjoy the attention to detail and service at the Lodge?
The attention to detail – from the charming keychain to the food presentation, authentic settings, and the exceptional service at the Lodge – exceeded my expectations. Every aspect, including the personalised care and thoughtful amenities, was designed to provide a luxurious and memorable experience, making each moment at the lodge extraordinary.
