‘ISABELLA AROUND THE WORLD’ STOPS OFF AT VICTORIA FALLS

Austrian blogger Isabella from @Isabella.aroundtheworld is a solo adventure traveller and digital content creator who recently stayed with us at Victoria Falls River Lodge.

Isabella is road-tripping around the world and have been doing so since she quit her job to become a globetrotter in September 2021. Having been to Mexico, various countries in Central and Southern America and Egypt, Isabella is now exploring the Southern parts of Africa as part of a 3-month trip with visits to Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

“The mighty Victoria Falls has been on my bucket-list ever since I first saw a video of it. When I planned this trip through Southern Africa, I knew that the Falls had to be one of my ‘must-visit’ stops on the itinerary,” said Isabella.

She describes her stay at Victoria Falls River Lodge as “an incredible place to stay with very peaceful surroundings, a very beautiful design, and superb activities. My stay was perfect. I especially enjoyed the plunge pool in front on my deck.”

Isabella went on a game drive as well as a boat cruise during her stay at Victoria Falls River Lodge.
Some of the animals she encountered were a big herd of elephants, a lioness with three cubs and many hippos on the river.

“This is pretty much as close as you get to wildlife. I encountered an elephant super close at the main pool area and many warthogs on the way between my room and the main lodge. It was an incredible experience!”

Isabella commended Victoria Falls River Lodge on the beautiful design and layout of the spaces and facilities, as well as the hospitality team for the incredible meals.

“It’s often hard to compare places to each other, as all of them are very unique in their own way. I think what makes Victoria Falls River Lodge so unique, however, is having the incredible waterfall, the Zambezi River, and a national park so close to each other. One can easily spend a week here without getting bored of landscapes or activities.”

So, what is next for this intrepid adventured? She will be heading to Mozambique, South Africa, Lesotho and Eswatini (Swaziland) next.

“Once back in Europe, I am planning to buy a camper there and explore some countries like Italy and Switzerland before heading to Japan and Southeast Asia for winter.”
