There is no easy answer to what the best time to visit the magnificent Victoria Falls River Lodge would be. Planning your trip would depend on what you would like to see during your stay, and what Mother Nature has in store for the mighty Zambezi River.
Nov – early April (Rainy season)
- Zambezi River fills up to dramatic levels
- Spectacular views of the Victoria Falls
- Thick mist-spray that rises high into the sky and may be seen from kilometers away
May – Sep (The Dry Season)
- Best for game viewing
- The days are mild and sunny (Around 20°C)
- Wildlife can be more easily spotted as they congregate around waterholes
Feb – May, peaking in April (Flood Season)
- The water level of the Zambezi River is at its highest
- Highest and the largest volume of water
- More water than any other waterfall in the world
Oct – November (The Hot Season)
- Daytime temperatures in excess of 30°C
- The perfect time enjoy game viewing during the cooler hours of dawn and dusk
- The Falls have less spray
- A clearer view of its staggeringly high rockfaces which are often obscured from view by the mist
